The Merton Winter Night Shelter (MWNS) has been providing emergency accommodation to rough sleepers in the area for more than nine years.
The latest annual report of the Merton Winter Night Shelter can be read here.
Because of the pandemic, the MWNS provision this coming winter will look rather different from previous years. Five guests will be provided with single occupancy rooms in a shared flat in Wimbledon, the accommodation having 24-hour access and staffing.
How you can support MWNS this winter
The Night Shelter can only operate with the support of the local community – mainly through volunteering via the many Merton faith groups involved, and financially through donations so generously received.
If you have volunteered at at the Night Shelter at Trinity before, and would like to get involved again this winter, please contact Robin or Ralph Goodchild for more information.
You can support MWNS financially by donating online via their Virgin Money Giving site
