Our visit to St Paul’s cathedral began today (20 April) with lunch at St Nicholas Cole Abbey on a perfect Spring day.
A short walk took us to the steps of St Paul’s where we were were joined by the rest of our party of sixteen for an excellent 90 minute tour of the Cathedral taking in the Cathedral floor and crypt, as well as Geometric Staircase, Chapel of St Michael & St George and quire – areas not usually open to visitors.
Then refreshed by tea in the crypt cafe, some of the group returned to the Cathedral for Choral Evensong where we were fortunate to have seats in the choir.
A thoroughly enjoyable day and our thanks to the members of our Worship Team who organised the visit. (Click on photos to enlarge)
